Georgia Is On Our Minds—AGAIN!

We have exciting news: our good friend and longtime Celebrate Outreach supporter Georgia Moore is returning to do a Drag Queen Bingo fundraiser for us, this time with a tropical tiki theme. Mark your calendars now for Wednesday, November 13th at 6:30 PM and RSVP at Tiki Tim’s Pub and Grill, then don your tackiest tropical togs for a wild game that ain’t your grandma’s bingo! Invite your friends, family, co-workers, etc., to join the bawdy tiki bash and win baskets-o-prizes! And best of all, they’ll have a great time supporting Celebrate Outreach! Details and tropical images are below.
Things are going well at the breakfast. Last month we served an average of 121 bagged meals each week. We received support from several local churches:
• St. Alban’s Episcopal Church on St. Pete Beach provided breakfast casserole;
• St. Mary & St. Mina Coptic Orthodox Church in Clearwater provided pasta with meatballs and salad;
• Paradise Lutheran Church on Treasure Island created 120 bagged lunches; and
• The Parking Lot Gang from St. Teresa of Calcutta Catholic Community in St. Petersburg provided toiletries and other goods.
We are also grateful that people have stepped in to fill the summer vacancies that occur when our snowbirds go north, particularly the volunteers from USF Bayboro and Allendale United Methodist Church in St. Petersburg. We are also grateful for Good Neighbors, a surplus food sharing organization that has supplied us with all sorts of delicious food, including vegetables and the delicious gourmet desserts (above, R).
